Making more butternut soup today...
Philly gets rowdy at night.. it's pretty funny...
While the soup is cooking we are putting up last minute Halloween things - J is "helping"....
I think we have picked our last apples of the season... it has frosted a few times, and they just taste different now... The trees are getting bare.
It was too cold and windy to stay long... but we got enough for eating, and apple cake.
Then it was back to playdoh.
Sunday we went to the farm with W's sister, brother in law, and nephew.....
C at the rubber duck races.....he enjoyed this last year too.

Chop up mushrooms..and squash - green and yellow.. Put on a pan with salt and oil - roast.
Cut up the trinity - saute in butter with salt and pepper...
Meanwhile - cut a loaf of FRENCH bread in half long-ways... combine one soft stick of butter, one cup of maynaise.. a chopped green onion...small can of black olives - chopped..and grated monterey jack cheese.. Slather on bread.. it will look like a lot- bake and then broil ...
"Twist and pull"....
It was a lovely day for apple picking.. and the trees were heavy with fruit..
J ate 3 within hours of picking..
