made a cake yesterday.. we had dinner at W's sister's house..and her husband the mechanic fixed my air conditioner.. when you cut the cake it should look like a flag.. J had fun chasing around a whole high school football team.. and getting very muddy.

Rainbow Cake

4 more days of school - so we thought a rainbow cake was in order... W went to school today and played kickball with C's class. Today was 85.. and it going to get warmer all week.. we will be going to the beach and the pool. C's last day of school is Thursday.

whack - a - mole

Headed out to Chuck's for a late birthday treat tonight.. it was fun and not too crowded. The skee ball machines are always out of order.. so that is a bummer, but I found a shooting game I like.. Clint wouldn't stand still for a picture.

Redwings Game..

Tonight we took the boys to a baseball game.. The Rochester Redwings, they are the farm team for the Twins. W won the tickets at work..they were great seats, right behind home plate. The stadium is very nice.. and only about 10 mins from home.. The boys did great.. we will surely go again. As predicted, J kept saying "baseball?" "running?"... and C enjoyed the music and clapping.. we all know who the athlete will be.. C will provide the atmosphere..

When you walk into the stadium there is a really cool horse made from old baseball gloves.. lifesize.. I need to get a better picture of his face the next time we go..

It was a fun time.. we stayed through the 7th inning.. Rochester was ahead by 3... By the time we got back home it was raining - so we left just in time.

Swimming.....soon....

Got J a life-preserver today.. it's thin and seems comfortable..has a strap to keep it from choking him - we will see.. He wants freedom in the water.. It's very hard to keep ahold of him, so we thought this would be the best bet.. so we don't freak out everytime he breaks free from one of us.. Also picked out a little Spiderman kickboard for C's birthday.. I will try anything to get him off the ladder. Going to see what his reaction is to J's new vest - maybe he will wear one too..

So J and I get home.. and right outside we find a pair of goggles in the grass.. There are no kids in our building, so I can't imagine where they came from.. J is pretty comfortable with "finders keepers"...
